My view
This topic seems unusual and probably surprising, but the fact is that the drug abuse that is illicit substance or prescription is a real problem in our society and the mediation of those drugs are done thru the internet and all different kind of media. The media should restrain their use of the image of drugs in the society. Regarding the teenager problem it's something more problematic and probably harder to control, due to propagation and the promotion of different kind of drugs by artist that they see as heroes sometimes, i would take my self as an example, growing up and listening to all different type of music, i've heard the name of several different drugs that i have never heard before "Lean" for example a caught syrup mixed with sprite, at this time it was getting popular and i clearly recall that some people from my class in high school where obsessed with trying it cause their favorite artist used it himself and singed it. The younger generation in my point of view are getting more and more precocious, the way i see it the access of the media is a part of it, they learn about some stuff that they should learn about when they will be older and can make a proper opinion about it. Not only this but also the prescription drugs are a serious problem some of those prescription drug are highly addictive such as morphine and a countless number of other one, the perfect example of this case would be the US soldiers injured in conflicts, a big number are addicted to morphine. And making the promotion of those kind of product shouldn't be allowed by the gouvernement or even make the product illegal. The concern that i have with this subject is a pretty broad, being often sick and being on heavy medication i'm concerned about what it can do not only to me but the people around me and other people on medication, that mean u could not even trust your doctor to give you a prescription drug without being scared of this harming yourself. Concerning the illicit drug uses, it has always been an issue in the society, but i have the feeling that this problem is getting more and more serious, just seing some places full of people abusing drug like parks and so on, make me concern about the future generations. The current generation have at least one friend, relative or someone they have met in their life that is abusing drugs, i found this absurd. Instead of promoting or using drugs in commercials, maybe they should focus on showing it the way it is, which is a problem.
